Why this is needed

The Sony | Hearing Control app is not available on the Canadian Google Play Store.

This does not affect the product itself. It only requires a one-time setup using an alternate app store. Once installed, the app works normally.

Step 1: Install APKPure

Download and install APKPure from: https://apkpure.com

APKPure is a commonly used app store for apps that are not available in certain regions.

When installing, Android may ask you to allow installation from unknown sources. Please allow this to continue.

Step 2: Install Sony | Hearing Control

1. Open APKPure
2. Search for Sony | Hearing Control
3. Tap Install
   (If you already installed it, it may show "Open" instead)

Step 3: Sony account setup (Important)

When opening the app, you will be asked to sign in with a Sony account.

Important:

If your Sony account is set to Canada, the app may not work correctly.

Please create a new Sony account and select United States as the country.
Other countries may also work, but United States has been tested.

Troubleshooting

If the app does not detect your device:

• Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
• Allow Bluetooth and location permissions
• Restart the app after pairing
